Oakland International (OAK) FBO

Chauffeur Service at Signature Aviation Oakland (OAK)

Signature Aviation OAK is the executive FBO on the north field at Oakland International. It's the fastest ramp turnaround of the three primary Bay Area FBOs and a common alternate for SFO when weather or slot times push your flight to the East Bay.

8433 Earhart Rd, Oakland, CA 94621

How pickups work at Signature Aviation OAK

OAK's north field has quick ramp access and consistently short taxi times, so on most arrivals you're from aircraft door to your vehicle in a few minutes when ramp access is cleared. We track your aircraft on ADS-B and check in with the Signature concierge on your tail number so your chauffeur is at the ramp in time for your wheels-down.

If your operator files customs at OAK, your international arrival clears inside the FBO. We check in with the concierge on your customs slot and hold your vehicle without extra wait charges through processing, so you step off the plane, through customs and into your vehicle without a lobby wait.

OAK is well positioned for the East Bay, Tri-Valley business districts, San Francisco and Wine Country. Onward transfers to any of those from Signature OAK are a normal booking — tell us your destination when you reserve so we can plan bridge and tunnel timing in advance.

Signature OAK sits off Earhart Road on the north field, minutes from Interstate 880 and the Bay Bridge approach. From the FBO you're typically in downtown Oakland or Emeryville within 10-15 minutes, in downtown San Francisco or SoMa in 25-45 minutes depending on the bridge, in Walnut Creek or the Tri-Valley in 20-35 minutes, and in Napa or Sonoma in about 90 minutes. If your itinerary crosses the Bay Bridge, we plan around commute peaks and Warriors or Athletics game traffic when you book.

Vehicle assignment follows the same logic as SFO and SJC. A Lincoln Aviator for one to three of you. A Chevrolet Suburban LT for a family or a small board of up to six. A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter when your passenger count, luggage volume or oversized bags call for it. For a common OAK routing — a jet-load of five continuing to a Wine Country tasting — a Suburban LT is usually right; for eight to twelve of you on an incentive trip a Sprinter is the correct call.

OAK is also a frequent same-day divert when SFO is holding for weather. When your operator moves your arrival from SFO to OAK on the day of the flight, let us know as soon as you hear; we'll reposition your chauffeur across the bay and keep tracking the same tail number so your wheels-down meet doesn't slip. There's no change fee for an operator-driven divert.

Where Signature Aviation OAK sits at OAK

Signature Aviation OAK is located at 8433 Earhart Rd, Oakland, CA 94621. It's a separate facility from the commercial passenger terminals at Oakland International — when you book, tell us the FBO name so your chauffeur is routed to the correct side of the airport rather than the commercial curb. For airport-wide meet-and-greet policies, terminal drop lanes and commercial pickup procedures, our OAK airport hub page covers the full flow.

San Francisco International (SFO)

Meet-and-greet is available on request at SFO for a $45 add-on. Your chauffeur waits with a personalized signboard at the arrivals level of your terminal (International A/G or domestic 1, 2 or 3) and assists with luggage to the vehicle at the designated limo pickup area.

Meet-and-greet is available on request at OAK for a $45 add-on. Your chauffeur meets you inside Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 baggage claim with a signboard and escorts you to the vehicle. Please request meet-and-greet when booking so we can dispatch early and clear parking.

Signature Aviation OAK chauffeur FAQ

Why would my flight divert or file to OAK instead of SFO?
Weather, ATC slot times and FBO capacity all influence your operator's filing. OAK often clears faster than SFO for private aviation, so it's a common alternate — sometimes chosen in advance and sometimes on the day of your flight.
Can international private arrivals clear at OAK?
Yes, when your operator files customs at OAK. We check in with the FBO on your customs slot the same way we do at SFO and hold your vehicle through processing at no extra charge.
How long does it usually take to get from OAK to San Francisco?
Bridge-dependent — typically 25-45 minutes off-peak and longer at commute times. We plan your routing based on your wheels-down window when you book.
What happens if my flight gets moved from SFO to OAK on the day?
Let us know as soon as your operator confirms the divert. We'll reposition your chauffeur across the bay, keep tracking the same tail number's ADS-B feed and meet you at Signature OAK for wheels-down — no change fee for an operator-driven divert.
Is OAK a good FBO for a Wine Country continuation?
Yes. OAK to Napa is roughly 90 minutes via I-80 and CA-29; Sonoma is a similar time via the Bay Bridge or Richmond bridge depending on traffic. It's a common private-aviation itinerary and we route it as a direct transfer or hourly service if you have tasting-room stops along the way.

Ramp access, customs coordination, FBO fees and pickup procedures are subject to confirmation with the FBO at the time of the flight. The Premium Chauffeur is operated by Black Chauffeur Limo Service LLC, a California Public Utilities Commission-regulated prearranged passenger carrier under TCP #46320-B.
