Signature Aviation SJC is the primary west-side FBO at Mineta San Jose International and the default arrival point for most Silicon Valley private-aviation trips. Whether you're flying in for a board meeting on Sand Hill Road or heading home after a diligence week, your chauffeur meets you at Signature and takes it from the aircraft door.

How pickups work at Signature Aviation SJC
For your arrival, we track your tail number and wheels-down time on the ADS-B feed and check in with the Signature concierge so your chauffeur is already at the ramp or in the lobby before you finish taxiing. When Signature clears ramp access for your tail number that day, your chauffeur meets you at the aircraft door and takes your bags directly from the belly. When ramp access isn't cleared, your chauffeur is waiting inside with a name card and takes over from the crew at the lobby exit.
For your departure, your chauffeur is at Signature about forty-five minutes before your scheduled wheels-up so you can step out of the vehicle and straight to the aircraft. Your bags are handed to the crew inside the FBO, and we keep the vehicle on-site until wheels-up is confirmed — just in case of a taxi return, you're not standing on the ramp.
SJC doesn't have an international customs facility for private arrivals, so international trips into the Bay Area typically land at SFO or OAK. If your itinerary uses SJC on the outbound side, we still handle that ground leg the same way — you'll just be met at whichever airport you actually clear at.
Signature SJC is on the west side of the airport, minutes from Highway 87 and Interstate 880. From the ramp to Palo Alto, Menlo Park or Sand Hill Road is about 25 minutes off-peak; downtown San Francisco is roughly an hour; and Napa or Sonoma is one and a half to two hours depending on the time of day. Share your destination when you book and we'll plan the route in advance, so your chauffeur isn't looking up your address at wheels-down.
For one or two of you traveling on your own, we send a Lincoln Aviator — it seats up to three with luggage and suits the discretion of a private-aviation trip. For a family, a small board or a jet-load of five or six, the Chevrolet Suburban LT is our default. For a full jet-load with rolling luggage, ski bags, sample cases or a small team traveling together, we send a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter instead. Tell us the passenger and bag count when you book so we confirm the right vehicle before your day, not at the ramp.
Signature SJC runs from early morning through late evening, and we handle pre-dawn and overnight pickups through the after-hours process the FBO publishes for your tail number. We confirm the after-hours meet with the concierge in advance, so your chauffeur is inside when you clear the aircraft — not waiting at a locked lobby door.

Child car seats on request
Rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing convertible seats and booster seats can be installed before pickup when requested in advance. Please share your child’s age, height and weight at booking. Parents or guardians should confirm that the selected seat and installation meet their child’s requirements. Accommodation of multiple seats depends on the vehicle, passenger count, luggage and seat availability at the time of reservation.
Airport meet-and-greet policy
San Jose Mineta International (SJC)
Complimentary meet-and-greet chauffeur service is included at SJC. Curbside pickup is permitted at Terminal A and Terminal B, and your chauffeur can also greet you inside baggage claim on request. No additional fee.
San Francisco International (SFO)
Meet-and-greet is available on request at SFO for a $45 add-on. Your chauffeur waits with a personalized signboard at the arrivals level of your terminal (International A/G or domestic 1, 2 or 3) and assists with luggage to the vehicle at the designated limo pickup area.
Oakland International (OAK)
Meet-and-greet is available on request at OAK for a $45 add-on. Your chauffeur meets you inside Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 baggage claim with a signboard and escorts you to the vehicle. Please request meet-and-greet when booking so we can dispatch early and clear parking.
To add meet-and-greet at SFO or OAK, note “Meet-and-greet requested” in the booking form or reply to your confirmation email. SJC meet-and-greet is automatically included at no charge.

- Will you meet me at the aircraft or inside the FBO?
- Whichever Signature clears for your tail number that day. Ramp access isn't automatic — we check with the FBO on the day of your flight and default to a lobby meet if the ramp isn't cleared.
- What happens if my flight is early or delayed?
- We track your aircraft's ADS-B feed and adjust your chauffeur's arrival to your revised wheels-down time. There's no extra wait charge for standard flight-time variance.
- Can I use SJC for an international private arrival?
- SJC doesn't clear international private arrivals — you'll typically land at SFO or OAK, which have customs on the FBO side. We'll meet you at whichever airport you actually clear at.
- How long is the drive from Signature SJC to Sand Hill Road or downtown San Francisco?
- Sand Hill Road and central Palo Alto are typically 20-30 minutes off-peak; downtown San Francisco is usually 55-75 minutes depending on 101 and the Bay Bridge approach. We plan the route around your wheels-down time.
- Can you run a pre-dawn or overnight pickup at Signature SJC?
- Yes. Signature has an after-hours process for each tail number; we confirm the meet with the concierge in advance so your chauffeur is inside for wheels-down rather than waiting at a locked lobby.
