Airport strategy

SFO is the default at 20 to 35 minutes off-peak from downtown; we add a mandatory buffer for evening 101 congestion and Moscone weeks. OAK is competitive for specific East Bay carriers and can be faster than SFO from the Financial District after 5 p.m. SJC is chosen only when a southbound itinerary or specific carrier makes it faster.

Private aviation

San Francisco private-aviation traffic uses SFO-side Signature and Jetport and, less often, San Carlos or Hayward Executive for smaller aircraft. We track the tail number, coordinate ramp meet and stage a sedan or SUV at the FBO lounge on request.

Popular rides from San Francisco include downtown hotel to SFO morning banks, Moscone Center convention arrivals from SFO and OAK, Chase Center pre-game dinner and drop-off, Oracle Park pre-game arrivals from Peninsula hotels, and full-day itineraries down the coast to Half Moon Bay or over the bridge to Napa and Sonoma.

Planning notes

For Moscone keynote weeks, we prefer a shared arrivals manifest so multiple vehicles can time SFO curb approaches. For Chase Center events, we recommend a defined post-event pickup on 16th or Terry Francois rather than the front plaza, which is heavily managed. For Financial District 5 p.m. departures, allow additional buffer for California Street congestion.

Vehicle selection

Lincoln Aviator covers solo executives and couples. Chevrolet Suburban LT is the everyday choice for four-to-six-person board dinners, family SFO runs and Chase Center groups. Sprinter is used for Moscone delegations, wedding parties moving between city hotels and coastal venues and eight-to-fourteen-passenger event groups.
